9/10/09 ASA Labor Day 100 / 2009 Champions With the sound of the Midway, and the swarms of people at the Dickinson County Fair it only means the end of the Norway Speedway Season. Jamie Iverson raced to his third ASA Labor Day 100 win, while Mark Bubloni, Neil Varda, Tim Wilcox claimed feature wins Sunday night, as Ron Jenshak became the Super Stock Champion, Mark Moraska the 4 cylinder Champion, and Neil Varda the slammer champion.
9/7/09 ASA Labor Day 100.. Iverson makes it Three NORWAY, MI (Sunday, September 6, 2009) - A large and enthusiastic crowd cheered as loud as they could when Jamie Iverson stepped out of his super late model after winning the Labor Day 100 at the Norway Speedway, an ASA Member Track. Iverson held off Jonathan Eilen for his third consecutive American Speed Association Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power win at his home track.
8/11/09 Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Special II The Fans packed the Grandstands for the second Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Special at the Norway Speedway Friday, Aug 7. Tom Lindquist started on the pole, while 2008 Norway Speedway Champion Troy Nelson started alongside as the two brought the field down to the green flag.
8/3/09 Week 12 - Werner Electric UP 50 Werner Eclectic Supply sponsored the Werner Electric UP 50, Friday night at the Norway Speedway. The main event was cut 3 laps short of the finish due to a City of Norway Power Failure. Mike Reichenberger was the leader at the time, when it was determined well beyond a two hour wait past the 11th hour to call it a night.
7/25/09 Schultz Equipment Night - week 11 Schultz Equipment Sales of Iron Mountain sponsored week 11 at the Norway Speedway. Ryan Hood stormed through the field to pass Brandon Reichenberger to win the Pepsi Late Modal A feature, while Ron Jenshak won the Bumper to Bumper Auto Value Super Stock A feature, John Martin won the DQ-Dog A, and Jim Stachowicz won his 6th slammer feature of the season.
7/17/09 Week 10 - Iron Mountain Power Sports - Dairy Queen of Kingsford A rare Thursday Night occasion at the Norway Speedway, saw Dalton Zehr race from the back of the Pepsi Late Model A feature to win, and Mark Jenshak in the Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Stock A main, caught a lucky brake to inherit a win. Gerald Dugree jr, won his second DQ-Dog A of the year, and Neil Varda raced away from John Matia in the Slammer main.
7/12/09 Week 9 - Presented by Pepsi Pepsi Cola of Iron Mountain Michigan presented the week 9 action at ASA Member track Norway Speedway Friday night, were Troy Nelson won his second consecutive Pepsi Late Model A feature. Bill Delfosse survived a Super Stock demolition to win his second Auto Value Bumper to Bumper super Stock A feature. Jim Stanchina drove off with the DQ-Dog Four cylinder A feature, and Jim Stachowicz won his 5th Slammer feature.
7/5/09 Fire Cracker 40 4th of July weekend started off with a bang at the Norway Speedway Friday night July 3rd. A huge crowd was greeted with great racing and a spectacular firework display put on by the Norway Fire Department. As Troy Nelson won his second feature of the season and Mark Jenshak did the same as he won the Auto Value Bumper to bumper Super Stock feature surviving a wild final lap finish. Jim Stachowicz won his fourth slammer feature, and Tom Bourdeau won his first DQ-Dog A feature.
6/27/09 Week 7 Mid American Special The Mid-American Stock Car Series highlighted the week 7 action at the Norway Speedway in front of a packed house, as Lyle Novak of Wausau WI captured the “EH” Main event for the Midam series, while Dalton Zehr held off Troy Nelson to win the Late Model A - and Mark Jenshak won his first ever Super Stock Feature.
6/20/09 Week 6 - Norway Speedway Humid temperatures, Threatening sky’s a little colorful lightning and two divisions of competitors could not stop the Stanchina’s on Friday Night as Scott Stanchina ran away with the Pepsi Late Model A feature for his second win of the season. And Cousin Mike Stanchina persevered through numerous restarts to win his first Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Stock A feature.
6/13/09 Iron Mountain Power House and Kingsford Dairy Queen Week 5 Sick Air Highlighted the night at the Norway Speedway, but it was Craig Schei in the Pepsi Late Model Division, and Marcus Bubloni in the Auto Value Super Stock division driving away from the competition to claim their main events. Gerald Dugree jr, and Jim Stachowicz also won the A mains in the DQ-dog division and slammer division.
6/7/09 Drive Line 100 - Power House 50 Rain, chilling temperatures, 100 laps, droves of lap cars, could not keep Ross Kenseth from claiming the 2009 Drive Line 100. 40 competetors attempted to qualify for the 20 positions in the pay per lap event, where each competitor would receive $7.50 per lap completed, plus be paid $25 for every position gained at the end of the race, plus an additional $20 per lap led, and a $100 bonus for leading laps 1, 10, 20, 30 and so on.
6/4/09 More Interesting Driveline INFO!!! The Drive Line 100 is a unique race thought up by Fran Prestey with the help of Gene Coleman. They both are in the racing parts business and wanted to give back to the racers. They have a passion for racing and also make their living selling racing parts. Their company’s Five Star Stock Car Bodies and Colman Racing Products are industry leaders in the racing parts business.
6/1/09 The Drive Line 100 - Saturday June 6th The Drive Line 100 is this weeks big event at Norway Michigan’s ASA sanctioned race track. This will be the second such event in the speedways history. It is a pay for lap event where most drivers will make the same amount of money for the 100 laps they run
5/30/09 Week 3 - Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Special Week 3 at the Norway Speedway was presented by Auto Value / Bumper to Bumper. Scott Stanchina held off Mike Gardner to win his first A feature in his 8 year career. 2008 Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super stock Rookie Bill Delfosse also won his first feature, holding off Mark Bubloni. Jim Stachowicz, and John Martin also won the Slammer and 4 cylinder main events.
5/24/09 Week 2 - Presented by Conery Sports and BK Enterprises Conery Sports and BK Enterprises presented the week two action at the Norway Speedway, As Troy Nelson dominated the Pepsi Late Model A-feature, Marcus Bubloni held of his dad to win the Auto Value Super Stock A-feature, and Reggie Langtange and John Mattia won the 4 cylinder and Slammer feature events.
5/16/09 2009 Norway Speedway Opener presented by 102.5 the Moose WCMM 102.5 WCMM the MOOSE presented the 2009 Norway Speedway Opener, unfortunately Mother Nature Stormed into the lead of the Late Model A feature with 9 laps remaining, washing out the feature events at the speedway.
